have any outside factors effected the work (ie war or a natural disaster)

is the work from observation, imagined or remembered?

is the image realistic, distorted or abstract?

do you think the work has any hidden meanings?

does the work remind you of any other work you have seen, if so, what?

PROCESS

how is it made?

what is it made with?

what techniques, processes, tools and materials did the artist use?

when and where was the work made? is this site specific?

were the techniques or materials innovative for their time?

MOOD

how does the work effect your mood?

does it capture mood, feeling, or emotion?

what do you think the artist was feeling when they made the work?
